Now look at Best Buy they set up a partnership (joint venture) with the Geek Squad to offer service for the products they sell. As I look over my (Cindy McAsey) partnership with VereConference it's very much the same they offer the service and I offer the support and training. I can't express how that has broadened my network of folks to communicate with.

In today's internet world with social networking ever so popular, partnerships (joint ventures) possibilities are a dime a dozen. You should consider JV's the New model of lead generation for MLMers.

Here's something to think about...With traditional old school MLM your are leveraging off the work of others "if" they perform. Statistically over 90% don't produce results.

Joint ventures are simply another form of lead generation allowing you to piggy back off an existing lead flow/customer base. A well thought out joint venture leverages off the work somebody else has already done. With JV you decide how you want to work your new found network. I'll cover how to work with networks in another article. One hint... Don't go in and say I want to contact your people and sell them my stuff OK?

I encourage you to open up your mind to this new way of thinking so you don't get lost in the dust. To broaden your thinking think about where people are congregating and lots of activity going on. There are so many great (what I call) fishing holes online you just need to find one and start networking. Then Get on people's lists. Buy their products to get a better understanding of what they offer. Always look for gaps. Potential areas for you to fill a need.

Best part of this "New" way of thinking is YOU determine what you would look for in a partner. Lead with service when approaching a potential JV partner. Build a personal relationahip first. Don't lead with a sales pitch. Trust and Transparency are key. Start with small JV's and work your way up. Be willing to move on when necessary. Be sure to look for products and/ services that compliment your product or service.

Joint Ventures are the future of MLM. You must decide if you will be part of it.

How to Quit Your Job and Start a Company

When I visit with folks who have always worked for a pay check they generally have lots of aprehensions about starting their own business. For them the "JOB" gives them a sense of security. In fact the corporate banking and government cater to a false sense of "security" of a job rather than a business. Think about the questions your are asked when applying for a loan or how the government statistically ranks your income as a small business owner. (profits vs gross... a good thing)

Unless you have had your head in the sand the last year you are probably starting to realize a "JOB" has no security. I've seen people put their heart and soul into a "JOB" and get layed off or loose their job when the company goes out of business. In a "JOB" you really have no control your lively hood is at the mercy of someone else.

Here's some answer's to a few questions that may be swiming around in your head about starting a business.

How do you know when it is time to quit your day job?

There is no perfect formula to ensure that you are 100% ready to quit your job and start a business—if I could figure it out, I probably wouldn't be writing this. There are a few things you need to think about in making a decision though.

1. You have to have a really clear, realistic picture of your financial life and understand the risks you are willing to take. For some people, this is money investment, for others it is a period of time you set aside for your business to work.

2. You will feel much better about your decision if you have been working on your business on the side of your day job, selling your product or service to real people with real money in the real world. This experience will replace all the paper documentation you would use in detailed business plans and will be the best indicator of readiness to leave your life as an employee.

Isn’t it crazy to start a business in this economy?

With corporations in crisis, job stability a thing of the past, social media ablaze and free and cheap tools available to everyone, this is a great time to start a business. Depending on your financial situation and how far along you are with your business idea, if you find a need in the market that you can serve well, this is an excellent time to run ahead of the pack.

So many people are sitting back in fear and afraid to move.. this gives you the unfair advantage step into new markets. Let me phrase it another way. In the unfortunate case that you get laid off, do you think you would be more happy having started a business on the side or having spent your energy desperately clinging to your job?

How do you decide which business to start?

Business ideas are a dime a dozen. From my perspective, which is firmly rooted in the idea that the purpose of a business is to allow you to live the kind of life that makes you happy, healthy, wise, and wealthy—or at least well-fed, a good business idea has four components.

1. It is rooted in something you are passionate about and which energizes you. Entrepreneurship is too darn hard to manufacture enthusiasm.

2. You have the skill and competence to make it happen—or at least a really great contact list of smart and enthusiastic friends to help you figure it out.

3. You need to do enough business planning to know whom you are trying to serve, and how you are going to make money. Ask your self who is your target market, and how am I going to profit from marketing to them?

4. You want a business model that you have the resources to support and that delivers the life you want to live.

What is the very first step that I should take?

If you are in the very early stages of thinking about a business, spend your time getting to know yourself. One of the best things I discovered is to study yourself as if you were a scientist observing a bug. Pay very close attention to the things that either make you feel great or feel rally bad. Note the kind of environment, work, people, topics, industries, schedule, and activities that make you thrive. When you start your business with this awareness, you will feel natural energy and clarity which will make all the next steps of the process like choosing a business idea, figuring out the money, planning your business, identifying your customers, and creating a marketing process a lot easier.

Should you get started in business and then quit your day job or quit and then get started?

Knowing that your livelihood is at stake, I feel much more comfortable when people get started and then quit rather than quit and then get started. The process of creating your first product or service and getting paying customers is often much different than you imagine and can require more time, resources, and support than anticipated in your planning stage. I have had clients who were in such time-sucking and stressful jobs that they decided to save up a lot of money and then quit so that they could have the time and energy to devote full-time to the business. Also, there is nothing more motivating for getting new business than an impending mortgage payment. Whichever path you choose, make sure you know how much time or money you have to burn and have a few options open for generating income if your business takes longer to get off the ground than anticipated.

If you have limited financial resources, what is the best way to start a business?

Start by testing very small parts of your business. You don’t have to set up a huge infrastructure or print shiny brochures or to buy new equipment. Be ruthless about getting as much information and coaching as you can for free. People are very generous with good content, and you can learn tons by reading smart blogs and attending free teleclasses or seminars. With limited resources, you may want to stay away from businesses that have high operating costs and stick with a web-based model that you can get started for very little investment.

Do you have to have a PowerPoint pitch?

If you have five hours a week to work on your business outside of your day job, save your PowerPoint skills for the office. Some aspiring entrepreneurs will go after venture funding and need to prepare a formal presentation. The more you get in front of real customers and tell a compelling story in few words about how you can solve their problems, the less you will need PowerPoint as a crutch. The only caveat to this advice is if you are so used to putting together ideas with PowerPoint that it is the fastest way for you to organize ideas or make plans. Whatever you do, don’t bombard poor, innocent people in the real world with corporate jargon. You just may find your paradigm is shifted right out the door.

Do you have to have a business plan?

You don’t have to have a complex business plan with 20 attachments and spreadsheets, but you do need to engage in business planning. Know the kinds of problems you are trying to solve, and what value solving them would bring to your customers. Get clear on resources needed to bring your business to life. Start by guessing how many widgets you plan to sell, so at least you have a good laugh the next month when you look at actual sales. But as one of my mentors told me once about projections, they are only guesses for a month. After that, you have real data to compare. So move quickly, test often, fail fast, and discuss and document your assumptions. If you keep everything in your head, you will limit your creativity, and in the long run limit your growth.

What is the fastest way to build buzz about a company?

After few years sitting on the sidelines, I jumped into social media focusing on Twitter. And I am now convinced it is the absolute quickest way to get to know your customers, build relationships with partners and mentors, and get the word out about what you are doing. Of course it cannot be your only marketing strategy, since people hunger for more than 140 character bites of you, but if you aren’t on Twitter, you are missing great opportunities, plain and simple.

What if your spouse doesn’t support your entrepreneurial dreams?

Often spouses don’t support their partner’s dreams because they haven’t gotten an explanation that makes sense to them. You may spend all your time thinking about your business, evaluating the market, and developing your products or services, but your spouse doesn’t see inside your head and understand the reasoning behind your decisions. They also may have serious doubts about your ability to get a business off the ground if it has been five years since you started to re-paint the bathroom and you still haven’t finished. So demonstrate in big and small ways that you can follow through with plans, listen with openness and without judgment to concerns raised, and make a plan that feels like a reasonable amount of risk to both of you. When you go into business, your whole family goes in with you. So be sensitive to concerns.

How do you find the time to work on a side business with a mortgage to pay and a family that needs attention?

With limited time, you have to get crystal clear on priorities inside and outside of work. Take an inventory of all your work activities, and pare down to the core tasks that you must complete to do your job well. Evaluate how you spend your time outside of work. Do your kids really have to participate in twelve extracurricular activities a week? When I was a kid, I spent hours playing dress the kittens with our farm cats or skipping rocks down at the creek. I had a great childhood and have done just fine as an adult. When you are running on a very lean and efficient schedule and have a manageable list of weekly tasks for your business, you will make progress. It is better to take small steps every day—like writing one paragraph of your book or crafting a handful of code—rather than waiting for a huge block of time to open up because this will never happen.

What is the most common mistake the “escapees” make?

The most common mistake is thinking that they have to get all their plans absolutely perfect before launching. I have listened to people explain why they spent two months crafting an introductory email to a potential client. Perfectionism will cripple your business and thwart your plans faster than anything. Get used to pushing things out that feel not quite ready and then be completely responsive to fix them as you go. There will never be a perfect product, service, market or economy, so the most passionate, enthusiastic and responsive entrepreneur will win.

Over the past week I've had many eye opening insights come to me from top leadsrs in the MLM industry. It's almost like a missing piece of the puzzle has been solved. Now these aren't people who just say they are the grurus in the industry these are people that have been in the business a long time and with the same company a long long time.

The first person I'm going to talk about is our neighbor Vince Berland. Mr. Berland has been in Amway for about 30 years... (so the neighbors say) Where I live in KS is very rural and everybody knows what everyone else does. All I have to do is ask questions when the local neighbor comes to visit. Mr. Berland calls his Amway group "Flying Eagles" and came to Abilene when he decided to invest in the Greyhound industry. According to our neighbor who has coffee with him on a regular basis he pulls in about $30,000 a month from his Amway Business.

Mr. Berland is like most business people he doesn't have all of his income coming from one source. He also doesn't do all of this on his own. He delegates out to the experts. Most people when first getting started in MLM try to do all the work themselves and end up burining out. I'm so thankful for the internet and technology we have today, because I know it doesn't have to be that way. Our Barefoot Marketing System teaches delegation and gives the cash flow to enable the beginner in MLM start out delegating and not do all the work themselves.

Now Mr. Berland has decided to sell his mansion on the hill and build a normal size house down the road. Both of these houses are just a little over a mile away from us. The new place is going to have excotic horses. (according to the neighbor) The reason I mention this is.. Berland's have a couple of large greyhound farms already in the area. That plate is up and spinning, he has grown a very large Amway MLM organization that plate is spinning, and now he is starting the excotic horse business (another plate). Doesn't in make sense to learn from this?

The next person I want to mention is Al Hegerman. He has been a Shaklee Distributor for 40+ years. He started his business with an investment of a $2.00 bottle of all purpose H cleaner. Yesterday I received his newsletter, he made some very good points that really stuck. Mr. Hegerman's income according to our company presentations is over $3000 per day. Yes you saw that right... His monthly checks are over $100,000 per month.

Mr. Hegerman talks about a cruise he took recently. He said the all of the people with the exception of him were highly educated people doctors and lawyers etc. Mr. Hergerman has a high school education and before joining as a Shaklee distributor was a police officer. Think about it... Mr. Hegerman got his education from the school of hard knocks. He was educated very well but just in a different way. When Mr. Hegerman was asked recently how he did it. This is what he said, "All anyone has to do to achieve success in Shakle* is learn a 30 minute pitch and keep throwing mud against the wall."

The last person I want to mention is Jim Burke. If you haven't heard any of Mr. Burke's presentations this explaination might be a little hard to grasp. What Mr. Burke did is become a leader to his own organization quick. I've been in Shakle* over 11 years and didn't know who sponsored Jim Burke into the company till yesterday. Guess who it is... Al Hegerman. Yes we knew we were part of Jim Burke's organization but I didn't know Al Hegerman sponsored him. Mr. Burke has mastered very well what Mr. Hegerman taught him and is still doing it today. In fact last year Mr. Burke had the fastest growing organization in the whole company. Our group is part of the reason for his success.

Now think about this... Mr. Burke didn't go to Mr. Hegerman everytime he talked to someone about Shaklee and said you need to talk to Mr. Hegerman or listen to the call from Mr. Hegerman. Jim Burke learned real quick you must become a leader yourself for others to follow. Fact is people buy from people and they will drawn to you for the positive qualities they believe exsist within themselves. Mr. Burke learned his OWN 30 minute pitch and kept throwing mud against the wall.

Franchise Business Online - The rarely told truth about network marketing

In the next 2 minutes you will discover something that seems to be one of those "business models" people either love or hate. What I am talking about is network marketing, also called mlm, multi-level, and social marketing. In fact many distributors won't admit "their" company is one of "those" companies, gosh sometimes even the companies themselves are in denial. Right from the beginning I will say that there is no need to have extreme views about this, it is simply a business model you can use if you wish.

However, it is crucial that you understand HOW the business model of network marketing works.

I think there are basically two reasons that some people seem to be almost electrocuted, simply by hearing someone mention the word network marketing. Either they have tried it themselves, and because they didn't have a clue on how to do it they failed miserably. Or they belong to the group of people who can't get the idea that mlm = pyramid scheme out of their heads.

This second misconception is easy to debunk. Pyramid schemes are illegal almost everywhere, do you really think large multinational companies could operate year after year on an entirely illegal basis?

Secondly, this view on network marketing shows to me a person just doesn't understand. He or she hasn't done an ounce of homework on the various businesses that are available to each of us today, and they are ignorant of the industry itself.

This means they aren't serious. It means they "would like" to make more money, but have no intention of making it happen. They continually "look" for home businesses, which is enough to satisfy their minds that they "did everything they could", but everything they find out there is flawed and are "scams". They are looking to buy "hope", not a business.

There is a saying that goes something like this:"If you spend too much time proscastining about your next step, you will be standing on one leg for the rest of your life". Yes, there ARE scams out there, but mlm is not a dirty word and it is not a synonym for scam. Get over it!

Something to think about... Is Corporate America a Pyramid Scam?

As for the comparison to a pyramid in general - think of any company that comes to mind. The company will probably have a CEO, president, vice presidents, middle management, a sales force, and hourly employees.

It goes without saying that the guy at the top, the CEO, is going to make the most money, and the compensations continue to decrease down the ladder which starts at his cushy leather chair. The only way to get paid more and move up the ladder is to boot someone else out of their spot - and this is what people call okay and normal!

Not to mention the fact that the corporate slave masters seem to have no problem with working people to the limits...and then kicking them out the door before any of the benefits kick in. (As always there are some exceptions, of course). How is this any less pyramid than network marketing? All people in the company work hard, but ONLY those at the very top has "permission" to make a lot of money.

Now, in network marketing the basic idea is that it will be of great benefit to everyone involved to help people who are new reach the top. In fact the whole business idea hinges on this idea - the best way to become really successful in the long term is to help others. With the "right" company there is no mathematical limit to how large a network can become, add in todays global marketplace, the internet and Web 2.0 social networks and the skies the limit.

A network marketing company can diversify and find new markets, just like all companies have to.

But what about the miserable statistics of network marketing, the over 90% drop-out rate etc.?

This is mainly caused by the simple fact that not that many people know how to do network marketing correctly. Typically the new distributor is taught to make a "100 list" and once they run through that list they start buying leads. BIG MISTAKE!

This is a somewhat unique industry. Most people don't realize network marketing is a business of marketing and promotion pursued by people who have NO IDEA how to market and promote.

Read the above paragraph once more and let it sink in...

If you are going to be involved in network marketing you need to develop both the right mind set and acquire the right knowledge (no, they usually don't teach this in college).

You will discover when you do this business like our team does:

* You don't have to do "in home parties" selling your stuff.
* You don't have to "walk the mall" and strike up conversations with anyone who comes within 3' of you!
* You don't have to post "work at home" flyers!
* You don't have to "buy leads" or customers for that matter
* People will join with you because of who YOU are.

I'll admit not everyone is cut out for this industry. Not everyone has the power within them to develop the right mindset. Not everyone is willing to acquire the RIGHT knowledge. You know I LOVE twitter, but over the last week I have seen a sense of panic, mostly because I have been focusing on a target market that isn't currently a small business owner. There is so much education to be done for some of these poor souls or at least they think they are poor because the media tells them how bad it is.

I've got "NEWS" for you just because the media paints a doom and gloom picture it doesn't have to be like that. Let's face it. Doom and gloom sells. Look at 911 how many people (including me) were glued to the TV watching and listening. Remember the year 2000 scare when all electronic data was going to be wiped out? Did it happen? NO... Did some people take advantage of it a make a boat load? YES

It amazes me these predictors are not held accountable for their stupidity when the bad things DON’T come to pass. Sadly, I’ve found that some of the greatest tragedies I’ve seen in my life, like 9/11, Huricane Katrina, and earth quakes, tsunamis, and other disasters were not predicted or prevented in any real way at all.

Any thinking person understands depressions, natural disasters, war, and more... does happen and that is unfortunately a part of life as we know it. But the media doesn’t want you to ‘think’… they want you to be afraid and dependant and turn to them for ‘comfort’ day in and day out (bad, bad idea… they never report ‘good news’). To my knowledge, worrying about such events has not prevented any of them!

Action and imagination solve problems a whole lot better than ‘worrying’.

After all…

Napoleon Hill didn’t write, ‘Worry and Grow Rich’, did he?

However, the doomsayers predict doom almost every day it and the media seems eerily cheerful in reporting on anything negative that happens around the world in real time, 24 hours a day year round. What is missing is perspective.

Miracles, recovery, healing, new discoveries, massive profits, enlightenment, giving, growth, birth, beauty and joy are ALSO happening every day around the world.

But you’d never know about it if you rely on the NEWS media for your view of reality.

If you want to profit from these times, let McCain, Obama, the stock market, real estate woes and the nattering ninnies in Congress shuffle papers around to their hearts content. And ignore them. If you have real estate problems or stock troubles, educate yourself on how to best deal with those issues. Tell yourself over and over.. "If it is to be it's up to me" Don't rely on anyone to bail you out!

Don’t envy or resent the ‘rich’, join them! The Money is still right under our noses. In fact this "recession" will produce more billionaires than ever before. (Some people are THRILLED to see it coming) Stocks and Real Estate will be bought at rock bottom prices. (Only to be sold for massive profits in a few short years) Advertising for your business will be much cheaper, because there won't be the competition from the nervous nellies.

SMART Small Business Entrepreneurs are...

• Proactive. We see something coming and we do something about it. We take the bull by the horns.
• Focus on Sales. Bottomline we are in sales may as well admit it. We focus on Sales, not the "news"
• Focus on Value. We market and sell products that add good value. Something that is consumable that consumers need and want.
• Focus on Abundance. Think in terms of abundance we understand there is plenty of money out there and we can make as much as we want.
• Ready to take Action. We think outside the box and are ready to take advantage of opportunity when it comes our way.
• Focus on Marketing. We constantly invest (time and money) in marketing we know our business must be preforming marketing that works, we test it, we track it, we know what's working.

Did I describe who you are or want to be? Your best option to increase your income is to growing a profitable small business of your own. Seek out those who ARE successful and discover what they are doing. Stay current on what is working in your industry… and in marketing. I think Amway is going on 50 years too. Our neighbor is one of the top dogs in Amway, he has built a "retirement" house 2 miles from his "mansion" all within a mile from us.. the "mansion" that includes a conference center is up for sale to the tune of 2.5 million.. so the neighbors say! Everyone wonders who they will get in our little rural community to purchase! I'm thinking possible a business of some kind. It was built on a golf course and is beautiful.

Franchise Business: 80/20 Rule fits Franchises too

The 80/20 Rule is one of the most helpful of all concepts of time and life management. It is also called the Pareto Principle after its founder, the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who first wrote about it in 1895. Pareto noticed that people in his society seemed to divide naturally into what he called the "vital few," the top 20% in terms of money and influence, and the "trivial many," the bottom 80%.

Pareto later discovered that virtually all economic activity was subject to this his Principle as well. For example, this rule says that 20% of your activities will account for 80% of your results. 20% of your customers will account for 80% of your sales. 20% of your products or services will account for 80% of your profits. 20% of your tasks will account for 80% of the value of what you do, and so on. This means that if you have a list of ten items to do, two of those items will turn out to be worth as much or more than the other eight items put together. Franchise Business's have a step by step plan but there is always a human error factor to consider.

Here is an interesting discovery. Each of these tasks may take the same amount of time to accomplish. But one or two of those tasks will contribute five or ten times the value as any of the others. Often, one item on a list of ten things that you have to do can be worth more than all the other nine items put together. This task is invariably the one that you should do first.

The most valuable tasks you can do each day are often the hardest and most complex. But the payoff and rewards for completing these tasks efficiently can be tremendous. For this reason, you must adamantly refuse to work on tasks in the bottom 80% while you still have tasks in the top 20% left to be done. Before you begin work, always ask yourself, "Is this task in the top 20% of my activities or in the bottom 80%?"

The hardest part of any important task is getting started on it in the first place. Once you actually begin work on a valuable task, you seem to be naturally motivated to continue. There is a part of your mind that loves to be busy working on significant tasks that can really make a difference. Your job is to feed this part of your mind continually.

Time management is really life management, personal management. It is really taking control over the sequence of events. Time management is control over what you do next. And you are always free to choose the task that you will do next. Your ability to choose between the important and the unimportant is the key determinant of your success in life and work. Effective, productive people discipline themselves to start on the most important task that is before them. They force themselves to eat that frog, whatever it is. As a result, they accomplish vastly more than the average person and are much happier as a result. This should be your way of working as well.

Make a list of all the key goals, activities, projects and responsibilities in your life today. Which of them are, or could be, in the top 10% or 20% of tasks that represent, or could represent, 80% or 90% of your results? Resolve today that you are going to spend more and more of your time working in those few areas that can really make a difference in you life and career, and less and less time on lower value activities.

Franchise Business: Marketing Success Strategy

After a few years, most businesses establish a set formula for determining their marketing budget, usually a fixed percentage of revenue. But when economic times get tough, it's time to make a few alterations.

The mistake businesses make is to simply cut the marketing budget when they experience a downturn in revenue. Big no, no. In an effort to protect their bottom line, they are more likely to bottom out.

Instead of cutting your marketing budget, try making a few refinements: 1. Concentrate on past and current customers. They are more likely to purchase from you, even during difficult economic times. Mail to them more often, call them more often and let them know about special promotions more often.

2. Instead of cutting your marketing budget, refine your marketing message. Customers will be thinking of how they can get more for less, so focus on the value rather than the low price. Keep your prices the same and use special promotions intermittently.

3. Take a closer look at who your real prospects are. Instead of mass mailing, focus on a more targeted audience. Profile your prospects and find those who have similarities to your past customers. This technique will save you money and elicit a higher response rate.

Then publish that link for the Platinum Call Center to a professional telemarketer or firm and let them use your custom Platinum Call canter set up for them to work for you.

In this article, I am going to pursue an element that is so often overlooked, but should be thought about to a large degree. Over analyzing your work on Google is the worst thing that you can possibly do for your online business. Over the years, I have lectured and trained many people in search engine optimization. By and large, the people that seem to have the most problems in learning the process are the ones that over analyze every small detail in this process.

Search engine optimization, at the core, is a beautifully simple process. You simply choose a high traffic keyword, build a keyword specific website, place information daily, using that keyword string and you have a very successful seo campaign in the works.

Here is the problem. People tend to be very analytical and anal, if you wish, to this approach. Like Tom Prendergast relates very nicely, this story concerning this issue. "If you are in the military, and the enemy is attacking you, are you really going to ask what makes this rifle work? Or, are you just going to point the rifle, and kill the enemy?" Personally, I choose taking the enemy out. This is precisely my approach to SEO as well. I am going to first visualize where I want to go with my presentation on Google. After that, I am going to choose the high traffic keyword, write the articles and everything else that I do.

Honestly, how hard can this process be, folks? But having said that, how many articles did you write today to promote your online business? How many websites did you build today? How many press releases did you write today, to promote your online business? If you are like most people that I talk with, you have just not gotten around to that process yet. I have one more question for you. What have you done today to build your business? If you have done a lot of chatting, or talking, then you probably are falling short of your goals.

You must begin to visualize what you want to accomplish. You must not over analyze this process. If you do, you will simply become just another case of someone who is not being successful in a home business. You will join the ranks of the 95% who are not having success. Do you wish to become a statistic. I know for a fact that I will be in top 5% of people that do make money.

I will segway this article right into the Veretekk Platinum System. I am having absolutely no issues at all operating this amazing system. It is a fact that this system works, is working, and will continue to work brilliantly on the search engines. I see in the Beta Skype Chat that some people are having issues. Almost all of the issues that we are seeing is that the person is over analyzing, rather than adequately working this system.

Isn't it time for all of us within Veretekk to become professional at what we do? Should we not follow these two people's example and get busy and learn what we need to know to become successful with a home business?

I heartily recommend that if you are falling short of your goals, whatever they may be, that you take ultimate responsibility for you actions. You need to become educated by coming to the training classes, take notes and listen to what these people are telling you. Without this level of commitment, I can guarantee you that you will simply fall into the obscure category of one that is not being successful. We all have the option to choose our own destinies within Veretekk. I trust that you will choose the wiser path.

What are you doing with the dog days of summer?

Every year in the customer side of my business we experience the dog days of summer for a few weeks. This summer I'm using these dog days as an opportunity to really focus on our team SEO campaign. A few years ago I buckled down and did an SEO campaign the hard way and it took about 6 to 8 weeks to hit the top of google for my keywords. Since then I have participated on a few team SEO campaigns what a difference that makes, when everybody is working as a team! I don't remember exactly how long it took to get noticed in the Search Engines but it didn't take long.

I have learned when working as a team you must focus on what is best for the team and it's members first. In the Veretekk Platinum Control Panel you have 2 links that can be configured to what ever links you choose. At first glimpse I thought our team site RSS feed should be one link, but decided on my capture page forwarding to a rotator and our team forum instead.

Let me explain...

I know that people buy from people and they don't care how much you know till they know how much you care. Hopefully that makes sense to you. Bottom line to really have success online you need to promote yourself not the products or the company your represent. It's all about you, that's one reason social networking is working so well that many brick and mortar companies are hiring marketing people just to do social marketing for them.

So here's what we are doing on my SEO team, when someone decides to optin from my capture page they are directed to a rotator where each team members site is rotated in. This makes a huge benefit for the SEO team member. The SEO team member can take advantage of the years of experience I have online and the brand/image I've worked diligently on to create. I and the SEO team member will be working with the newest person getting them going. It's a win win situation for everyone. Over time each SEO team member will be taught to create their own brand/image online and branch off with a Veretekk Platinum Control Panel for their team.

This is has been my vision, now it's a plan that's taken action. How about you? Do you have a vision for your business? One great trait of leadership is having a vision. Have you ever heard the saying "You must stand for something or you'll fall for everything". I see this happening lots with online businesses. As a leader, you must first have a strong vision then learn to communicate your vision to the your team.

Here's how you do that...

Learn to paint a picture with words. Speak it. Write it. Draw it. Touch it. Whatever methods you can use to create a picture. Just do it, as they say. "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Ask a few of your team members to tell you in their own words about your vision. How close is it to what you thought they understood? Is your team on the same page as you?

As you work, your vision should be on your mind everyday. You should re-evaluate it occasionally so it stays current with the pulse of the Internet. Remember your team must be just as involved as you are with change. How about you does your team communicate daily and/or have weekly web conferences keeping everyone in the loop? Our team does.

The Flood Of Testimonials Continues...

Like thousands of others, I came to the Internet a few years ago looking for a way to earn a living from home right from my own computer. I married young (soon after high school) and was able to stay home to raise my now-grown kids and participate in all their school and extra curricular activities.

In late November 2007, I became aware of a group promoting another familiar opportunity and having a lot of success with it due to one of the ways they were marketing it. You guessed it -- Veretekk™. I jumped on board, dug in and learned how to set up and use the basics of Veretekk™ very quickly, duplicating the successful results of other group members. With each other's help and support, we are coming to experience what a powerful and progressive marketing system Veretekk™ really is, and how much more we can utilize it by tapping into more Veretekk™ training!

I discovered Veretekk™ about 16 months ago while looking for effective and affordable marketing methods to promote my MLM & Affiliate programs.

For years I tried buying premium leads, bought hits to my websites, sent thousands of post cards, posted flyers all over, handed out business cards, hounded family & friends, gave out free samples. bought people lunch and drew circles on napkins, used the three foot rule. This morning as I was scanning my inbox I came across a message talking about obstacles and explaining how to experince success. This message stuck out like a sore thumb to me here is what it said...

Obstacles are not walls meant to stop you, they are doors that lead to progress.

When I saw this the first thing I thought about was, last week when I stretched my brain to the max on html code. Html code has been a huge obstacle for me, I'm getting better at it but have a long way to go til I master it. People who haven't yet experienced what I have think I'm good at html code. What they don't realize I've been working at mastering it for a long time. They are just seeing the progress I've made to this point.

Obstacles are your brains creative way of telling you what you'll have to deal with to achieve your goals.

I'm not going to write a long message to explain what is very clear. Everyone, everywhere, doing everything and anything, face obstacles. No person is immune from obstacles. Don't think for a minute that the successful people you hear about in all walks of life (including online gurus) haven't had obstacles to overcome.

What's my point? Face your obstacles. Be determined to figure it out. Learn from them. Work hard at it and it will free you to walk through the door to experience the success you desire.

It's simple, but not easy. Obstacles small and large will always be a part of life and those people who accept this, work at overcoming them, and keep a positive outlook on their future will be the people who continually move forward and enjoy building their online success empire.

Ridin the Wave - China passes the USA in Internet users

You might be thinking how does that effect me? It's called being in the right place at the right time. Hear me out OK?

A year ago the company I market products for was showcased on Oprah Show for their Green Cleaners... OMG I didn't know so many people actually watched Oprah! That was a little over a year ago (and many product showcasings on later shows) as Distributors we are still riding that wave.

The reason it worked for me was.. I had been building a presence online marketing Shaklee products for a few years, when people finished watching the show they started searching online to get the product. Yes they did give out a website on the show, but do you think everyone got the website written down right? Nope.

Even those who went to the correct website were passed down from the company to active distributors at no cost. Basically all we needed to do is follow up with them and provide customer service and then let the company know we had indeed followed up with them. Powerful way to provide one on one company wide customer service huh! These new customers and members have become a part of my database whom I continue to follow up with and answer questions.

Now for the China deal, guess what company will be opening the doors in Beiging, China (the largest city in China) in the very near future? Yep you guessed right! Again my primary company... talk about being at the right place at the right time. Franchise Business: Streamline Marketing Strategies for savy Marketers

If you are like me a savy marketer you are always looking for ways to do less work and more time living life. A few weeks ago I decided to bite the bullet and use a system that was already built, and proven to work. In fact I searched this system out online. Just this morning I get yet another content writers dream site from our company. You know their are lots of support materials for a company when they have to put up a whole web page with links to web sites and explaining who might be interested in this piticular site. This website contains the URL, Site Description, and also explains who the website written for. Have you ever heard the term google spider food? I just counted there is 22 websites listed on this site.

It's always a good idea when choosing an new business to aline yourself with a company that can stand with just the products they promote ALONE even if there weren't a business opportunity attached with it. I know distributors in our company that have built huge businesses just selling products NOT recruiting Distributors. To be honest that's where much my bread and butter income comes from. It's customers not distributors.

I personally bring in lots of FREEE customers, because I'm able to ride the wave of 3rd party validation and 50+ years of content about the product. As part of our team you can learn how we do this and take advantage of our team posting channel that consistantly has held top positions on google for over 2 years.

I personally own the database for my customer's. I'm sure you have heard this quote by many marketing grurus "The money is in the list" Make sure you own your list... this is a business asset that if you should decide to sell your business or change products you have YOUR list.

Franchise Business: Are you an Accidental Role Model

The Accidental Role Model by Barbara J. Winter

During my daughter Jennie's last year in college, she called me with a startling accusation. "You've ruined me," she said."What do you mean?" I asked while bracing myself for the worst.

"Well," she explained, "my friends are all writing their resumes and going on job interviews. I can't do that." I breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I know. I did that on purpose."

After years of working unhappily in traditional jobs, I started my first homebased business the year that Jennie went off to kindergarten. Right away, it became obvious that my daughter was reaping the rewards of having a happier mom. I was having such a good time in my new creative lifestyle that I became a better parent. I also would find little business projects for Jennie to help with, like putting stamps on a mailing. She loved it. We were growing something together and she was proud of her contribution.

Although I started my entrepreneurial life out of a desire to find more joy in what I did, I also didn't want Jennie to grow up with the negative messages I'd grown up with about work. We can't really model what we haven't learned ourselves, of course, but we can be conscious about the messages we're passing on to our children. "Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on children than the unlived lives of their parents," warned psychologist Carl Jung.

So, naturally, I'm excited when I see a parent make positive changes for themselves -like Rob McCarthy. Rob and I knew each other for years before we met. Rob worked for a large video and audio production company where I bought my seminar tapes so he was the guy I'd call when I needed to replenish my inventory. One day I called to place an order and was told that Rob no longer worked there. A month later, Rob called to tell me he'd moved to a smaller company and wondered if I'd like to move my business there. I promptly made the switch.

Then the same thing happened. I called to place an order and was told that Rob had left. A few weeks later, I got another call from Rob saying he'd decided to start his own business. "Congratulations," I said. "Where's your office?" He explained that he was running it from home and planned to create a mobile studio. He sounded excited and said it was a new experience for him to be home alone all day.

"Do you have kids?" I asked. He told me he had two. "You probably don't realize this, " I said, "but your working from home is going to have an impact on them."
"Besides being around to drive them places after school?"

"Most kids get a really negative message about work" I explained. "They don't understand what it is that their parents do. They just see them leave in the morning and come home tired and crabby. By the time they get ready to work themselves, they have a rather bleak picture of what's in store for them. But if you're working at home, love what you do, and involve your kids in it from time to time, they're going to get an entirely different idea about work." "Wow," Rob said. "I never thought of that."

I cannot recall one single adult that I knew as a child who was joyful about their work. Is it any wonder, then, that many of us grow up thinking of work as a miserable life sentence? I'm optimistic that many young people are going to get a different message as more of us become committed to doing work that we love, and doing it in front of our children. Although some people decide to start a homebased business in order to spend more time with their families, I suspect that few realize that sending a positive message will be a side benefit-one that will have a lasting impact.

When Jennie was about eight years old, she decided that she wanted to go to Disneyland and decided to organize a yard sale and sell her old toys in order to fund this adventure. Her entrepreneurial spirit was already showing her how to solve problems creatively. I wish I had learned that lesson early in life.

Whether you know it or not, you may be more of a role model than you realize. A few years ago, I spent six weeks as a Junior Achievement volunteer teaching fourth graders about the free enterprises system. On my first day there, I confessed that I knew nothing about nine-year-olds.Then I told the kids that I had my own business, but I didn't have a store or an office. After I'd explained my one-person operation, I asked the class if any of them knew someone who was self-employed. At least two-thirds of them raised their hands. I suspect that wouldn't have happened even a decade ago.

I was heartened by the number of my fourth graders who had an entrepreneurial role model in their lives. It is not a responsibility to take lightly. "There is no power on earth," said Booker T. Washington, "that can neutralize the influences of a useful life."

A Franchise Business - The Streamline System

This is an awesome short video clip of true sportsmanship. If you watch this video and can honestly say you wouldn't have done what the loosing team members did. Please do yourself a favor and DON'T continue reading my message. One nice thing about doing business online is we can sort and pick who we want to do business with. I choose to bring people on my team who are not only team players, but are willing to go out of their way to help another team.

Just this morning I did a 45 minute training for people who you would consider a competing team. Why did I do it? Because I knew this team desperatly needed some help understanding online marketing methods. It's kind a ironic actually about 5 minutes after finishing this training I see this sportsmanship video. Got a question for ya...

Would you start in a new business venture if you knew FOR SURE in 3 years you would have AT LEAST $5000 residual per month?

I don't know what your answer to this question is but...

For me I would say YES.. if I knew I didn't have to sell the farm to get there.

Granted it does take some money to grow your business, but what if I could say to you that even with a 90% failure rate you could still be making enough to pay for your expenses during those 3 years.

This is next to the worst case scenario guys... the worst thing that could happen is you quit. BIG MISTAKE! A word of advise....you must join a team that has character and stick with them like super-glue!

Follow our Franchise Business System and Make Money Online

For the first time since I started marketing online I feel I have something to offer anyone contacting me about makeing money online. I have put together a portfolio of jobs, products, and services that I know will make earn anyone from any walk of life the opportunity to make a living online if their mindset is right.

Mindset is soo important when considering earning money online. Just as the founder of my primary business has always said. "What you Think, You Look; What you Think, You Do; What you Think, You ARE."

Everyone starts out at a different level when they come online to start making money, some come with lots of marketing experience, some come with none. Some come with lots of technical experience, some come with none. Once people realize that everyone starts at a different level and not to beat up on themselves when they see someone succeeding online before they are. Because of their past experiences they start out at a different level.

I listened in on a recruitment call of a Cardiac Specialist and past cancer research scientist. Now if you don't have any medical background do you think you will start out knowing what they know about health and wellness? Both of those people gave their dues through training and education when they speak about health and wellness people listen. So next time when you see someone joining your company and in 6 months they are at the top of the pay plan give yourself a break and look at what they had done prior to joining the company.

If you feel you are in that mode of not moving forward with your business maybe it's time you found someone one to coach or mentor you. Sometimes someone from the outside looking in the solution can be so simple, but because you are in your business up to you neck you can't see the simple solution.

What ever your walk of life is there is something for you online that you can make money with.
